THEATRESPORT
Hosted at SFX Officer, the 2023 Theatresport Championship saw students attending from the following 10 schools:
Balcombe Grammar
Cornish College
Flinders College
John Paul College
SFX Berwick
SFX Officer
SFX Beaconsfield
St Margarets Berwick Grammar
St Peters Clyde
St. Peters Cranbourne
Students arrived in costumes with their own “jingles”, and participated in a variety of 1, 2 and 3 minute games in Junior (yr. 7-9) and Senior (yr. 10-12) groups, with teachers involved as judges scoring in a lighthearted fashion throughout the morning
The afternoon session saw finalists from the two levels compete for the SIS Shield.
Junior Shield “Flinders Punslingers”; runners up “JPC Improv Squad”
Senior shield SFX Beaconsfield - “Zip Zap Zop”; runners up St. Peter’s Cranbourne
Several certificates were awarded to the many talented students from schools in the categories of “Best Line”, “Best Character”, “Best Physical Offer”, “Best Verbal Offer” and Most Supportive Improviser”.
