'The BIG Night' is an annual music and dance concert held at The Drum Theatre in Dandenong duringTerm 1.

All SIS member schools are invited to participate in the Concert as Principals, Families and the wider community enjoy a variety of combined SIS Ensembles and Individual School Performances.

Approximately 350 nominated students from the member schools perform a program showcasing combined SIS Concert Bands, Choir and Guitar/Ukelele Ensembles.

Additionally dance routines are included such as Contemporary, Showdance, Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop.

The student commitment is acknowledged, as they balance learning new skills with their day to day school studies.

Tuesday, 28 March 2017 marked the 20th Anniversary of the SIS Big Night Music and Dance Review!

Students and teachers from 13 campuses came together to perform a number of ensemble pieces as well as some impressive performances from individual schools.

The audience were treated to:
the cool beats of the Senior concert band's 'Michael Jackson Medley'
the amazing piano skills of St John's solo pianist
the tap styles of the newspaper boys' strike from the musical 'Newsies'
the vocal harmonies of the SIS combined choir, singing 'Hot Chocolate' from the movie Polar Express
as well as a variety of other dance and musical performances.

Students and teachers gathered for only 2 rehearsal days to bring together the acts. The hard work and dedication of students and teachers is evidenced in the quality of the performances.

As an extra-special performance, the entire cast assembled on stage to perform 'Celebrate Good Times' and the audience were encouraged to dance and sing along to celebrate this special occasion.
